Bitcoin's journey from a niche digital currency to a popular investment choice has attracted investors worldwide. This research, titled “A Study on Bitcoin Investment Preference, Satisfaction, and Risk Perception among Investors in Thrissur Town,” examines how local investors particularly younger, tech-savvy individuals perceive and engage with Bitcoin.
Primary data were collected from 200 respondents using a structured Google Form, and descriptive statistical tools were used to analyze their preferences, satisfaction levels, and risk perceptions. The findings reveal that younger investors prefer Bitcoin due to its high return potential and technological appeal, whereas older investors remain cautious because of price volatility and regulatory ambiguity.
Bitcoin acceptance is gradually increasing globally and is also gaining momentum in Thrissur, supported by rising awareness and interest in digital assets. The study concludes that improved financial literacy and clear regulatory frameworks can enhance investor confidence and support informed decision-making.
This study highlights the evolving investment landscape in smaller cities where digital assets like Bitcoin are slowly becoming part of modern portfolios.
